The seats are shredded and cast in acrylic and then hand turned and polished. Opened in 1986, Dean Smith Center is the fourth largest college basketball arena in the US and the third largest built specifically for basketball. Dean Smith Center is located in Chapel Hill, NC and is used primarily as the home of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team.
