This titanium gold and black titanium twist pen is handcrafted from the hickory wooden wheel spoke of a Ford Model T car. These wheels were in production from 1909 to 1927. The Ford Model T was in production from 1908 to 1927 and was regarded as the first affordable automobile. By 1918 half of all the cars in the US were a Model T. The Model T had its lowest original cost of $260.00 in 1925. It stands 8th on the top 10 list of most sold cars of all time as of 2012.
