This elegant gold titanium and chrome twist pen is handcrafted from wood removed during a 2013 renovation of the Coach House in the teens block of East Division Chicago, IL. This structure was the only structure on the block to survive the Great Chicago Fire. The Great Chicago Fire burned October 8-10, 1871. The fire killed approximately 300 people, destroyed roughly 3.3 square miles of the city, including over 17,000 structures, and left more than 100,000 residents homeless.
