This elegant Black Titanium and Platinum twist pen is handcrafted with pecan wood from a pecan tree at George Washington's Mount Vernon. The pecan tree used in the making of his pen was removed in January 2014 due to the risks of the tree damaging the Mansion at Mount Vernon. George Washington did not plant this tree. It is believed that this pecan tree was planted about 60 years after George Washington passed away. around 1860, making it an estimated 154 years old.
